Do you think it&#8217;s time for tea and a blanket? Nothing of the sort! For a true fan of two wheels, the calendar is inexorable &#8211; it&#8217;s March, and that means only one thing: <strong>the motorcycle season has just kicked off.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Although the weather is playing tricks this year and serving us a &#8220;repeat of winter,&#8221; the distinctive roar of engines is increasingly heard on the streets. Why do we leave, even though the thermometer does not spoil?<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. passion will not cool<\/h3>\n\n<p>Winter for a motorcyclist is a time of long fasting. As soon as the asphalt gets dry (even if there are snowdrifts lying next to it), instinct takes over. That first ride after a break tastes the best &#8211; even if your fingers are a bit rakish.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2 Hardware fire test<\/h3>\n\n<p>The beginning of March is an ideal test for our machines after winterization. If it fired up &#8220;out of the blue&#8221; at 2\u00b0C, it means that the winter service was performed exemplarily. The snow outside the window only adds to the drama of this first, symbolic round around the chimney.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. safety first!<\/h3>\n\n<p>Remember, however, that March is a tough competitor.  <strong>The rules are simple:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tires:<\/strong> They are cold and hard as plastic &#8211; traction is negligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Salt and sand:<\/strong> Post-winter grit still lingers on the corners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Car drivers:<\/strong> They have become unaccustomed to us over the past few months. We have to think for them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>A quick physics lesson to get you started:<\/strong> remember that the optimum operating temperature of a motorcycle tire usually starts above <strong>10-15\u00b0C<\/strong>. With March frosts, your tires are basically field hockey pucks. Watch out for gas!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Is it cold?  <strong>Yes.<\/strong>  Is it worth it?  <strong>Definitely.<\/strong>  We&#8217;ll see you on the road, take care and don&#8217;t be fooled by those white remnants on the roadsides.
